CN marked the U.S. 250th anniversary by unveiling two commemorative locomotives—No. 1776 and No. 2026—at its Homewood, Illinois facility. The event kicked off a yearlong America250 celebration aimed at honoring independence and innovation across CN’s rail network.

Locomotive No. 1776 features a “Screaming Eagle” motif symbolizing American strength and liberty, while No. 2026 adopts an Air Force One–inspired scheme to highlight engineering prowess. Both designs reflect CN’s effort to celebrate national heritage while reinforcing its commitment to reliable service.
