CNA Financial posts Q2 2026 net income of $321 million, or $1.18 a share

Property and casualty results
P&C core income fell to $426 million from $448 million as underlying underwriting weakened; net investment income rose to $701 million from $662 million.
The P&C combined ratio worsened to 96.5% from 94.1%; catastrophe losses were $60 million pretax versus $62 million.
Q2 net income and core income
Loews affiliate CNA Financial posted Q2 2026 net income of $321 million, or $1.18 a share, up from $299 million, or $1.10.
Core income slipped to $324 million, or $1.19 a share, from $335 million, or $1.23.
