Cognition Therapeutics reported a third-quarter net loss of $4.15 million. Grant income increased to $3 million from $1.2 million a year earlier, partially offsetting higher operating expenses.
Research and development expenses rose with higher clinical trial activity and professional fees, while general and administrative expenses decreased, primarily due to lower professional fees and compensation. The company expects cash to fund operations into the fourth quarter of 2027 and anticipates top-line results from its Phase 2 START Study in Alzheimer’s in the second half of 2027.
Cognition Therapeutics is preparing for a registrational Phase 3 trial of zervimesine in dementia with Lewy bodies.
