1. Coherent Schedules Q2 FY2026 Earnings Release and Webcast
Coherent Corp. announced it will report financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2025 on Wednesday, February 4, immediately following the close of the New York Stock Exchange. The Company will host a live audio webcast at 4:30 p.m. ET to review performance and field questions from analysts and investors. A replay of the presentation will be available on Coherent’s investor relations website within 24 hours of the live event. Paul Silverstein, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations, will moderate the discussion and outline key metrics including revenue trends, gross margin progression, and capital allocation plans for the remainder of fiscal 2026.
2. Photonics West 2026 Showcase Highlights Coherent’s Product and Technology Roadmap
At SPIE Photonics West, held January 20–22 in San Francisco, Coherent presented an expansive portfolio spanning continuous-wave and ultrafast lasers, beam delivery systems, advanced materials and thermal management solutions. The Company demonstrated its new bondable diamond heat spreaders capable of dissipating over 200 W/cm² for GPU cooling and unveiled the Sapphire XT visible laser module optimized for super-resolution microscopy. Live demos included a Thermo-Electric Generation system converting waste heat into up to 5 kW of usable power and a joint quantum encryption exhibit with Quside, illustrating integrated photonic randomness generation for secure communications. Attendees engaged in over a dozen executive and technical sessions, with Chief Marketing Officer Dr. Sanjai Parthasarathi and senior engineers leading discussions on next-generation AI datacenter optics and catapulting Coherent’s road map into emerging markets.
3. Strategic Partnership with Quside Delivers Mass-Manufacturable Quantum Entropy Source
Coherent and quantum technology firm Quside achieved a milestone in hardware-based security by demonstrating a mass-manufacturable quantum random number generator built around vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) produced on 6-inch wafers. The joint system delivers real-time entropy verification at rates exceeding 1 Gbps, enabling cryptographic key generation and secure element integration at scale. Dr. Giovanni Barbarossa, Coherent’s Chief Strategy Officer, noted that leveraging established VCSEL manufacturing lines accelerates adoption in data-center and defense applications. Quside CEO Dr. Carlos Abellán emphasized that this solution meets stringent cost and reliability thresholds, positioning Coherent’s platform for high-volume deployment in next-generation, quantum-safe security architectures.
