Coinbase and digital identity project World unveiled AgentKit, a toolkit that allows AI agents to prove they are operated by unique World ID-verified individuals. The feature integrates with the x402 programmable payment rail—already handling over 100 million transactions—to enable secure stablecoin micropayments authorized by 18 million verified users.
2. Everything Exchange Vision and Revenue Diversification
Under its Everything Exchange strategy, Coinbase plans to expand beyond cryptocurrency into assets such as stocks, ETFs, futures and prediction markets. The shift towards subscription and services revenue has already strengthened resilience, with such revenue rising to $2.8 billion—41% of net revenue—in 2025.
