Colliers' Englobe agrees to acquire Obsidian Engineering
CIGI•Colliers' engineering platform Englobe agreed to acquire Calgary-based Obsidian Engineering, which has more than 400 professionals and has delivered over 3,500 projects. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
1. Acquisition details
The acquisition is expected to expand Englobe's Western Canadian operations and establish a significant presence in Canada's energy infrastructure market. Founded in 2017, Obsidian has worked across Canada's energy and data center markets. Its senior team will become significant Englobe shareholders and take leadership roles.
