Comcast Business threat report flags 25.4 billion phishing events in 2025-26 period
Comcast published a 2026 cybersecurity threat report covering 79.3 billion events logged from March 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026. Phishing accounted for 25.4 billion events, followed by drive-by compromise with 21.9 billion.

The report said the logged events amounted to roughly 2,514 per second and pointed to AI-driven automation compressing the time between vulnerability exposure and attack impact. It also described intensifying identity risks and an expanding attack surface involving unmanaged third-party devices used as residential proxies.
