CODI•Compass Diversified’s co-founder and CEO Elias Sabo will retire on December 31, 2026, with COO Zach Sawtelle named as his successor and new board member. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 outlook and expects to complete its Management Services Agreement review in the coming weeks.

Compass Diversified co-founder Elias Sabo will retire as CEO and board member on December 31, 2026. Zach Sawtelle, currently COO, will assume the CEO role and join the board upon Sabo’s departure.

The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial outlook, highlighting ongoing strong subsidiary performance and a healthier balance sheet. It expects to conclude its Management Services Agreement review in the coming weeks to better align management incentives with shareholder interests.
3. Successor's Background and Strategic Focus
Zach Sawtelle has served at the company’s external manager since 2009 and led over $3 billion in strategic transactions, including acquisitions of BOA Technology and 5.11. As CEO, he will prioritize disciplined execution, deleveraging and long-term value creation for shareholders.
