Comstock Metals brings 100,000-ton-per-year solar panel recycling system online

Comstock Metals brought its fully integrated, industry-scale solar panel recycling system online, completing end-to-end processing through final offtake materials.

The unit is ramping from commissioning to continuous operations, targeting a first production milestone in September at 25% of rated capacity.

The facility is designed for 100,000 tons per year; glass-upgrading systems were installed and tested ahead of plan to support higher-specification outputs.

Comstock Metals advanced its proprietary metals recovery program, targeting a one-ton-per-day pilot to extract silver and other metals from offcut streams.
