LODE•Comstock Metals LLC will open a 21,570-sq-ft solar panel recycling and logistics hub in Cambridge, Ohio, backed by a $75,000 JobsOhio grant and expected to create 20 full-time jobs. The facility expands the company’s capacity beyond its Silver Springs, Nevada plant, cutting transport costs by up to 50%.

The new Cambridge facility spans 21,570 square feet with an adjacent laydown yard, serving as an industrial-scale recycling and production hub for end-of-life solar panels in the Midwest.
2. Job Creation and Grant Support
Supported by a $75,000 JobsOhio grant secured through collaboration with OhioSE, the Ohio operation is expected to generate 20 full-time positions, bolstering local economic development in Guernsey County.
3. Capacity Expansion and Cost Reduction
Following two and a half years of operations in Silver Springs, Nevada scaling to 100,000 tons annually with 100% material recovery, the Cambridge plant will expand capacity and cut transportation costs by up to 50%.

The central Ohio location reduces long-haul shipping expenses and positions Comstock Metals to supply aluminum, silver and glass bead outputs to Midwest and eastern US industrial supply chains.
