Conflict over Taiwan would be disastrous, de facto US ambassador says
SPY•Greene warns of global impact from Taiwan conflict
TAIPEI, Sept. 9 (Reuters) - Any conflict across the Taiwan Strait would have a bigger impact on the global economy than World War Two, the de facto U.S. ambassador to Taipei, Raymond Greene, said on Wednesday.
"The United States under the Trump Administration has made preserving peace in the Indo-Pacific one of its top priorities," Greene told a defence forum in Taipei.
