Contango Silver & Gold Launches 40,000 m Drill Program, Wolf Hole Hits 518 g/t Ag
CTGO•Contango Silver & Gold deployed five diamond rigs for 40,000 m 2026 program at Torbrit, North Star, Wolf and Homestake Ridge to drive a H1 2027 resource update. Hole DV25-470 at Wolf returned 518 g/t Ag over 0.52 m and 66 g/t Ag over 12.45 m, revealing kilometer-scale Torbrit-style mineralization.
1. Program Launch and Scope
Contango Silver & Gold has initiated a 2026 Kitsault Valley drill program totaling 40,000 meters focused on infill and resource expansion at the Dolly Varden (Torbrit and North Star), Wolf and Homestake Ridge deposits. The campaign aims to convert exploration-stage zones into defined resources supporting future development.
2. Drill Deployment
Three diamond drills are currently operating at Dolly Varden and Wolf targets, with two additional rigs set to come online within a week. The five-rig fleet will allocate approximately 10,000 meters to wildcat exploration across under-tested areas of the Golden Triangle land package.
3. High-Grade Wolf Intersection
Late 2025 hole DV25-470 at the Wolf deposit intersected a high-grade zone of 518 g/t silver over 0.52 meters within a broader interval grading 66 g/t silver over 12.45 meters, including native silver. This result opens a kilometer-scale target for Torbrit-style mineralization continuity testing.
4. Timeline for Resource Update and Study
Drilling results will underpin a new resource estimate and a preliminary economic study scheduled for completion in H1 2027 under US reporting standards. Concurrent work includes environmental baseline surveys, permitting, camp upgrades, and metallurgical and hydrological test programs.
