Corbus gains on weight-loss data for obesity drug in early-stage study

The company plans a mid-stage study in the H127 and is evaluating use of CRB-913 in combination with GLP-1 drugs.

Weight-loss and safety findings
The company said the experimental drug helped patients lose an average of 5% of body weight over 12 weeks in an early-stage study.
Nearly half of patients on the highest 60 mg dose lost at least 5% of body weight, and 6.7% lost more than 7.5%.
Corbus said the drug, CRB-913, caused fewer stomach-related side effects such as nausea and vomiting than published studies of oral GLP-1 obesity drugs. It added that psychiatric side effects were generally mild, with no serious psychiatric adverse events or suicidality.
Shares rise after early obesity-drug results
Corbus Pharmaceuticals CRBP.O shares rose 11.1% to $9.02 premarket after the biotech firm reported early-stage data for its experimental obesity drug.
