Corporación América Airports January Traffic Up 8.8%, Cargo Down 6.2%
Corporación América Airports posted an 8.8% YoY rise in total passenger traffic to 7.609 million in January 2026, driven by a 14.8% jump in international travelers and double-digit growth in Argentina, Brazil and Armenia. Cargo volume fell 6.2% to 30.1 thousand tons while aircraft movements increased 4.3% to 73.7 thousand.

Corporación América Airports reported total passenger traffic of 7.609 million in January 2026, up 8.8% year-on-year. Domestic traffic rose 2.6% to 3.667 million and international traffic surged 14.8% to 3.120 million, while transit passengers climbed 16.6% to 821 thousand.
2. Regional Performance Highlights
Argentina delivered a 7.9% increase to a record 4.553 million monthly passengers supported by additional seasonal routes and summer demand. Brazil traffic jumped 15.6% to 1.483 million, Armenia grew 10.1% with new routes, and Italy saw a 4.0% gain despite a 6.0% domestic decline.
3. Cargo Volume and Aircraft Movements
Cargo throughput declined 6.2% to 30.058 thousand tons, with decreases across most markets except Armenia. Aircraft movements rose 4.3% to 73.7 thousand, led by an 8.8% increase in Brazil and a 5.1% gain in Argentina.
