Corteva, Inari settle US dispute over seed patents during trial

Corteva Agriscience and Inari Agriculture settled the case days into a trial that began September 23. The companies asked a Delaware federal court to dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.
2. Terms remain confidential
The filing said Inari would destroy all Corteva seeds and other biological materials in its possession. The companies said they agreed to negotiate “certain license agreements”; they did not disclose financial terms, and the rest of the settlement terms are confidential. Corteva sued Inari in 2023, and Inari denied the allegations and argued the patents were invalid.
