1. Court Mandates Tariff Refunds

The US Court of International Trade rejected the government’s request to delay tariff refund cases and reaffirmed its jurisdiction before ordering US Customs and Border Protection to issue refunds for all illegally collected tariffs. Senior Judge Richard Eaton designated himself as the sole judge for refund requests and instructed CBP to process refunds covering up to $175B in Trump-era tariffs.

2. FedEx Restores Middle East Operations

FedEx announced the resumption of parcel pick-up and drop-off services across the Middle East in all regions deemed safe, reversing earlier service suspensions prompted by security risks. The company expects restored network connectivity to support shipment volumes and bolster regional revenue.
