CrossAmerica Appoints CFO Maura Topper as President and CEO, Names Benfield Interim CFO
CrossAmerica Partners LP appointed Maura Topper as President and CEO effective March 2, 2026, succeeding Charles Nifong, who moves to Dunne Manning Holdings’ executive team. Jonathan E. Benfield becomes Interim CFO of the general partner as of the same date.
1. President and CEO Transition
Maura Topper, previously CFO of CrossAmerica GP LLC, was appointed President and CEO of the general partner effective March 2, 2026, replacing Charles Nifong. Nifong, who led the company since November 2019, will join the executive management team of affiliate Dunne Manning Holdings LLC.
2. New CEO’s Background and Tenure
Topper has served as CrossAmerica’s CFO since August 2021 and was Vice President and CFO of Dunne Manning from 2014 to 2021. She also held board positions for the partnership from its 2012 IPO until October 2014 and again since November 2019.
3. Interim CFO Appointment
Jonathan E. Benfield, Chief Accounting Officer of subsidiary entities, was named Interim CFO of the general partner as of March 2, 2026, ensuring continuity in financial leadership during the executive transition.
