Crypto-linked shares climb as bitcoin rises to over one-week high
COIN•Bitcoin rose 2.4% to $86,596.7, its highest in more than a week, while ether gained 1.8% to $2,746.3. Crypto-linked shares and funds also advanced, including Strategy, up 3.5%, and Riot Platforms, up 6%.
1. Crypto shares advance
US-listed cryptocurrency and blockchain-related shares rose as bitcoin and ether advanced. Coinbase Global gained 1.5%, Strategy rose 3.5%, Robinhood Markets added 3.4% and Webull climbed 4.9%.
2. Miners and funds gain
Riot Platforms gained 6%, Mara Holdings rose 7% and Bit Digital added 6.8%. American Bitcoin surged 7.8%, while its majority owner Hut 8 rose 4.8%. Circle Internet gained 2.3%, Canaan jumped 6%, ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF added 2.1% and iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF rose 2.2%. Bitmine Immersion Technologies gained 1.7%, and Sharplink Gaming added 2.6%.
