Cyngn Triples DriveMod Tugger Bookings, Raises $9.65M for 2028 Growth
Cyngn tripled DriveMod Tugger bookings year-over-year and expanded production deployments at G&J Pepsi, Coats and Vann Family Orchards by moving pilots into multi-vehicle workflows. The company raised $9.65 million in a direct offering, extended its financial runway to 2028 and added Lyft and Facebook veteran Ran Makavy to its board.
1. Commercial Expansion and Bookings Growth
Over the past year Cyngn tripled DriveMod Tugger bookings and transitioned deployments at G&J Pepsi, Coats and Vann Family Orchards from initial pilots into full production. Multi-vehicle, multi-workflow systems are replacing single-route automations across its installed base, reflecting a broader shift to standardized industrial infrastructure.
2. Sector Diversification with Agriculture Partnership
In 2025 Cyngn partnered with Chandler Automation to enter the agriculture sector, extending its dealer network into food processing and packaging. This diversification targets repetitive, high-frequency material handling tasks common to both warehouse logistics and farm operations.
3. Financial Strength and Leadership Appointments
In January the company appointed Ran Makavy—formerly of Lyft and Facebook—to its board to bolster platform scaling expertise. In March Cyngn completed a $9.65 million registered direct offering, securing funding through 2028 to support growth initiatives.
4. Strategic Focus on Scalable Deployments
Cyngn is prioritizing expansion within existing enterprise and Fortune 100 clients by increasing automated routes and workflows across facilities. Strategic priorities include pursuing mergers and acquisitions and leveraging an asset-based balance sheet to drive both organic and inorganic growth.
