Daiichi Sankyo, AstraZeneca team with Summit to test Datroway-ivonescimab combo in cancer trials
SMMT•Daiichi Sankyo, AstraZeneca and Summit Therapeutics will test Datroway with ivonescimab in solid-tumor trials, starting with a phase 3 study in first-line triple-negative breast cancer. The companies will share trial costs, and each will retain development and commercial rights to its own drug.
1. Trials start in breast cancer
Daiichi Sankyo entered a clinical trial collaboration with AstraZeneca and Summit Therapeutics to test Datroway with ivonescimab across solid tumors. The program starts with a phase 3 trial in first-line triple-negative breast cancer, with plans to expand into other settings, including lung cancer.
2. Partners share costs
AstraZeneca or Daiichi Sankyo will sponsor the studies, and all three companies will share trial costs. Each partner will retain development and commercial rights to its own drug in the combination.
