Daimler Buses-backed ELCH electric coach project wins EUR 6.26 million German government grant
The ELCH project received a EUR 6.26 million German government grant to develop a battery-electric coach with a range of more than 500 km. The project runs through the end of 2026.
1. Project details
Daimler Buses joined the ELCH project, whose partners include KIT, the University of Mannheim, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and Flix. The consortium completed a joint demonstrator test drive in Neu-Ulm. The work supports Daimler’s plan to offer battery-electric coaches by the end of the decade.
