Dakota Gold says Richmond Hill heap leach tests show gold recoveries up to 92%
DC•Richmond Hill heap-leach tests
Dakota Gold reported positive heap-leach metallurgical results for its Richmond Hill Oxide project, supporting a pre-feasibility study due in Q4 2026.
Oxide column tests showed gold recoveries of 57.3% to 92%, averaging 74.2% across 12 tests.
Modeled ultimate oxide recovery averaged 80.4% at 0.5-inch crush size versus 75.9% at 1-inch, guiding process design trade-offs.
Testing flagged no major issues that could hinder heap-leach performance, including permeability, clay content, or preg-robbing behavior.
Definition drilling and next steps
Definition drilling started to upgrade high-recovery breccia-hosted oxide resources, targeting 11,000 meters in 2026-2027 ahead of a mid-2027 feasibility study.
