Los Angeles World Airports has engaged Daktronics to install seven LED media walls across 30 displays at LAX’s Tom Bradley Terminal, totaling 15,000 square feet and 300 million pixels. Installation will extend through 2026 with completion in 2027, modernizing passenger information and engagement in one of the busiest U.S. terminals.
1. Contract Award and Scope
Los Angeles World Airports selected Daktronics to manufacture and install an LED video display upgrade at LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal, featuring seven distinct media wall types across more than 30 displays. The contract leverages Daktronics’ control systems integration to deliver seamless visual communication throughout the terminal.
2. Display Specifications and Coverage
The installation spans over 15,000 square feet of LED canvas incorporating more than 300 million pixels. Eight primary display zones range from 780 to 8,119 square feet with pixel spacing between 1.5 and 2.5 millimeters, supporting flight information, wayfinding, and ambient visuals.
3. Installation Timeline and Passenger Impact
Deployment will occur throughout 2026 with full activation slated for 2027. The enhancements aim to elevate the travel experience for over 70 million annual passengers by improving information clarity and terminal ambiance.
