Delta’s September-quarter diluted EPS fell 47% to $1.15. Operating income declined 14% to $1.45 billion, while pre-tax income fell 40% to $1.07 billion and operating margin narrowed to 7.2% from 10.1% a year earlier. Fuel expense rose 69% to $4.35 billion, with the average fuel price per gallon up 68% to $3.80. Delta forecast December-quarter EPS of $1.15-$1.65 and full-year 2026 EPS of $5.10-$5.60, with free cash flow of about $2.5 billion.
