Diana Shipping has secured a time charter with Refined Success Limited for its 2010-built 177,773 dwt Capesize m/v New York at a gross rate of US$27,500 per day net of 5% commission, commencing May 1, 2026 through a minimum February 1, 2028 and maximum March 31, 2028. This rate marks a 56% increase over the prior US$17,600 daily charter.
2. Ultramax Charter for m/v DSI Pyxis
Diana Shipping has entered a time charter with Oldendorff GmbH & Co. KG for its 2018-built 60,362 dwt Ultramax m/v DSI Pyxis at a gross rate of US$16,000 per day net of 5% commission, commencing May 3, 2026 through a minimum June 15, 2027 and maximum August 15, 2027. This represents a 22% rate increase over its previous US$13,100 daily charter.

These two employments are expected to generate approximately US$23.76 million of gross revenue over their minimum charter periods. Diana Shipping’s 36-vessel fleet currently spans 4.1 million dwt with a weighted average age of 12.43 years and includes Newcastlemax, Capesize, Post-Panamax, Kamsarmax, Panamax, and Ultramax segments. The company also anticipates delivery of two methanol dual fuel Kamsarmax new-builds by late 2027 and early 2028.
