Digi Power X Pledges $35M for NVIDIA Vera Rubin Systems to Boost AI Capacity
DGXX•Digi Power X is investing $35 million to acquire NVIDIA’s rack-scale Vera Rubin systems, featuring 288GB HBM4 GPUs and 88-core CPUs, for NeoCloudz deployments beginning Q1 2027. The AI data center campus will deliver 15MW by December 15, 2026, expanding to 40MW by end Q1 2027.
1. $35M Investment in NVIDIA Vera Rubin Systems
Digi Power X has committed $35 million to acquire NVIDIA’s next-generation Vera Rubin systems, which integrate GPUs with 288GB of HBM4 memory and 88-core Vera CPUs linked via NVLink 6. Deployment of these rack-scale units is slated for Q1 2027, with installations funded from the company’s existing cash reserves to enhance its NeoCloudz GPU-as-a-Service platform.
2. AI Data Center Campus Build-out Progress
Construction of the dedicated AI data center campus remains on schedule, with phase one set to deliver 15MW of IT capacity by December 15, 2026. Management targets full build-out to 40MW of capacity by the end of Q1 2027, having already invested roughly $65 million into the Alabama site so far this year.
3. NeoCloudz GPU-as-a-Service Early Revenue
Since May 15, 2026, the NeoCloudz platform has been continuously running AI workloads on an installed fleet of NVIDIA B200 and B300 GPUs. The company recorded its first AI-related revenue in May, marking a key milestone in the commercialization of its cloud-based GPU services.
4. Financial Position and Financing Plans
As of June 3, 2026, Digi Power X held approximately $150 million in cash and cash equivalents, providing strong liquidity for ongoing expansion. CFO Paul Ciullo reported that the company is evaluating project-level financing arrangements to support further AI data center build-out, with details to follow upon finalization of agreements.
