Dillard’s FY26 second-quarter net income rose 34.2% to $97.7 million, with earnings per share climbing to $6.25.
Net sales edged down 0.4% to $1.51 billion, while total retail sales increased 1% to $1.46 billion.
Retail gross margin widened 2.8 percentage points to 40.9%, helped by $37.2 million in IEEPA tariff refunds.
Costs, liquidity and management commentary
Operating expenses increased to $443.6 million, reflecting higher payroll and payroll-related costs.
Management cited a “somewhat resilient consumer” and said cash and short-term investments topped $1.2 billion after $96 million of debt paydown.
