Dorman appoints Rayfield as CFO designate and Porter as COO to accelerate growth
Dorman appointed Charles Rayfield as CFO designate and Nathan Porter as COO and promoted executives to lead its Light Duty and Heavy Duty segments to drive growth initiatives. Q3 2025 revenue rose on tariff-driven pricing with adjusted net income and EBITDA gains, but shares remain rated hold.
1. Strategic CFO Appointment to Drive Financial Discipline
Dorman Products has appointed Charles W. Rayfield as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer designate, succeeding David M. Hession upon his retirement. Rayfield will formally assume the CFO role on the first business day after Dorman files its Annual Report on Form 10-K for fiscal 2025. He joins from Lutron Electronics Corporation, where he led finance for a $1.2 billion lighting controls and fixtures business, and previously served as CFO at Knoll Inc., a $2 billion design manufacturer. His track record includes improving working capital turns by 15% and reducing cost of capital at both companies, capabilities Dorman expects to leverage as it pursues margin expansion and disciplined cash-flow management.
2. Operations Chief Porter to Streamline Global Supply Chain
Nathan J. Porter steps in as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, taking responsibility for Dorman’s distribution, manufacturing, logistics and sourcing across Light Duty and Heavy Duty segments. Porter arrives from ADI Global Distribution, where he oversaw operations for a $4 billion business, and previously led global manufacturing at Collins Aerospace. In pilot programs, he cut lead times by 20% and lowered inbound freight costs by 12%. At Dorman, management expects Porter’s expertise to support faster new-product introductions and buffer against component shortages, reinforcing on-time delivery rates that currently exceed 98%.
3. Light Duty President Luftig Elevates Commercial Strategy
Eric B. Luftig has been promoted from Senior Vice President of Product, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to President of the Light Duty segment. Since joining Dorman in 2021, he led the launch of over 3,500 new SKUs, contributing to a 7% annual sales lift in Light Duty. Luftig’s 30 years of experience at Victaulic, Nordson and GE included P&L responsibility for businesses generating up to $800 million in revenue. In his new role, he will oversee sales, marketing and product development, with a mandate to expand engine management and chassis solutions into high-growth European and Latin American markets.
4. Heavy Duty President Bashir to Expand Aftermarket Reach
Steven A. Bashir becomes President of the Heavy Duty segment, taking over from John R. McKnight. Bashir joins from ZF Services, where he managed $1.5 billion in U.S. and Canada commercial-vehicle aftermarket sales. He previously held senior roles at Tenneco and Mahle Aftermarket, driving a 10% volume gain through targeted distributor partnerships. At Dorman, Bashir will lead sales, marketing and product strategy for truck, bus and off-road applications, aiming to capture market share in quick-lube chains and fleet service networks currently underserved by legacy suppliers.
