Douglas Elliman Realty announced expansion into Napa and Sonoma counties, securing real estate advisors Christine Krenos and Joseph Zichelle from Compass. The duo closed over $70M in 2025 and will launch close to $100M in luxury listings this spring, including three estates priced between $9.8M and $19.995M.

1. Wine Country Expansion

Douglas Elliman Realty has established a new presence in Northern California’s Wine Country, covering Napa and Sonoma counties. This strategic move aims to tap into one of the most sought-after luxury real estate markets in the United States.

2. Recruitment of Top Agents

The firm has onboarded Christine Krenos and Joseph Zichelle, who bring nine years of collaboration and deep regional expertise from Compass. Krenos offers global connectivity across the UAE, New York and Silicon Valley, while Zichelle adds a cross-market network spanning Miami and California.

3. Sales Track Record and Pipeline

Krenos and Zichelle closed more than $70 million in sales volume in 2025, including two off-market transactions each exceeding $20 million. They expect roughly $100 million in new luxury residential listings this spring, featuring properties priced at $19.995 million, $12.999 million and $9.8 million.

4. Strategic Growth Implications

This expansion leverages Douglas Elliman’s national and international platform to enhance service for high-net-worth buyers and sellers. The addition of a $100 million spring portfolio in Wine Country is poised to drive revenue growth and strengthen the firm’s foothold in key luxury markets.
