Duke Energy 2Q FY26 GAAP EPS rises 10.4% to 1.38; adjusted EPS climbs 14.4% to 1.43

Duke Energy reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance of $6.55 to $6.80, citing a strong first half and constructive regulatory outcomes supporting investment plans.
Quarterly earnings and segment results
Duke Energy posted 2Q 2026 GAAP EPS of $1.38, up 10.4%, while adjusted EPS rose 14.4% to $1.43.
Adjusted results excluded $39 million of after-tax regulatory settlement charges, equal to $0.05 per share.
Electric Utilities and Infrastructure segment income rose 6.4% to $1.27 billion on a GAAP basis; adjusted segment income climbed 9.7% to $1.31 billion.
Gas Utilities and Infrastructure segment income increased to $10 million from $6 million.
