Duke Energy chief generation officer Preston Gillespie to retire after 40 years, successor named
Duke Energy EVP and Chief Generation Officer Preston Gillespie will retire on March 1, 2026 after 40 years, remaining through March 2027 to guide the company’s new nuclear decision. Kelvin Henderson will succeed Gillespie as Chief Generation Officer and Steven Capps will be Chief Nuclear Officer effective March 1, 2026.
