Duke Energy priced USD 1.75 billion of Equity Units, each initially consisting of Corporate Units with Remarketable Senior Notes due 2032 and 2036.
- The deal includes an underwriters’ option for 5,000,000 additional Equity Units, lifting total proceeds to USD 2 billion if exercised.
- Equity Units were priced at USD 50 each; underwriters pay USD 49.125 per unit for 35,000,000 units.
- Each unit includes a stock purchase contract to buy common shares on Aug. 1, 2029 for USD 50.
- The remarketable senior notes carry a 4.85% rate at issuance, with maturities set for Aug. 1, 2032 and Aug. 1, 2036.
