E-Power Hires NVIDIA PSU Experts, Launches 98–99% Efficient 16kW AC and 50kW DC Modules
E-Power’s subsidiary onboarded a 20-year veteran technical team with NVIDIA collaboration to deliver high-power-density, liquid-cooled AI data center PSUs featuring proprietary Energy Bank capacitors for grid spike smoothing. Launched 16kW AC and 50kW DC liquid-cooled modules at 98–99% efficiency and started financing to expand engineering staff and 800V DC microgrid production.
1. Technical Team Onboarding
E-Power’s majority-owned subsidiary has added a veteran power supply team led by a 20-year industry expert, accompanied by a Vice President of R&D from Artesyn and production managers from Flex. This group has collaborated since late 2024 on NVIDIA’s ultra-high power density, liquid cooling and power smoothing architectures.
2. Power Architecture Innovations
The new team’s architecture achieves the highest realizable energy density in market products and employs Power Smoothing to mitigate grid spikes. Their proprietary Energy Bank uses low-resistance electrolytic capacitors for energy buffering, while Full Tab Welding ensures equivalent series resistance and inductance low enough to support currents up to 1000A.
3. Module Launches & Performance
The subsidiary has introduced 16kW AC and 50kW DC liquid-cooled PSU modules achieving peak efficiencies of 98% and 99%, respectively. Its liquid-cooled Power Shelves for 800V MGX systems integrate Capacitor Backup Units that deliver a 275kJ energy reserve and 387ms hold-up time, outperforming industry standards.
4. Financing & Production Scaling
To transition from prototypes to global mass production, the subsidiary is launching a new financing round. Funds will purchase advanced laboratory equipment, grow the engineering workforce and support the rollout of 800V DC microgrid solutions at scale.
