Eastport Critical Metals reports 100m-plus copper intercepts at Matsitama project in Botswana
CRML•Phase 1 infill drilling results at Matsitama
Eastport reported Phase 1 infill drilling results at the Matsitama Copper Project in Botswana, confirming continuity of copper mineralization at the NAK-Main zone.
Assays from 6 holes returned multiple thick intercepts, including 137.1 m at 2,346 ppm Cu, 109.6 m at 3,002 ppm Cu, and 100.6 m at 2,394 ppm Cu.
Results included higher-grade internal zones, with intervals ranging from 0.5% to more than 1.5% Cu within the broader mineralized package.
Mineralization remains open along strike and at depth, supporting potential scale at the Nakalakwana deposit ahead of step-out results targeting more than 10 km.
Work is aimed at validating historical drilling to support a future NI 43-101 resource update for Nakalakwana, where a 2013 SAMREC estimate outlined 9.9 Mt at 4,640 ppm Cu.
