Ecopetrol’s Board approved delaying the start of CEO Ricardo Roa Barragán’s 30-day unpaid leave, originally scheduled for May 28. The leave will commence June 27 following a 30-calendar-day medical leave starting May 26 and completion of his remaining vacation days.
Juan Carlos Hurtado Parra, the First Alternate to the CEO, will remain in his role as acting chief executive throughout the extended leave period. His continued appointment ensures leadership stability during this interval.
