Einride expands NVIDIA collaboration to evaluate AI model for autonomous trucks
NVDA•Einride expanded its NVIDIA collaboration to evaluate Alpamayo, an AI reasoning model, for its autonomous trucking system. A live road evaluation is planned for the second half of 2027, while existing safety systems retain full vehicle control.
1. Model evaluation planned
Einride expanded its strategic relationship with NVIDIA to evaluate Alpamayo for its autonomous trucking system. The agreement extends a collaboration announced September 21 to develop Einride’s next-generation driving system on NVIDIA Hyperion.
2. Deployment and testing
Einride plans to become the first trucking company to deploy Alpamayo on Hyperion. Adapting the model with proprietary freight data aims to shorten development cycles and lower expansion costs for new vehicles and routes. A live road evaluation is planned for the second half of 2027, with existing safety systems retaining full vehicle control.
