Q2 earnings rise on higher gold prices and FX gains
Eldorado Gold posted Q2 2026 net earnings of $172.8 million as higher realized gold prices offset lower gold sales volumes and higher operating costs.
Revenue rose to $487.5 million as realized gold price increased to $4,379/oz, despite gold sold falling to 102,691 oz.
Foreign-exchange gains of $13.9 million and lower depreciation helped earnings, partly offset by higher finance costs and income tax expense of $54.5 million.
Higher production costs and lower output weigh on results
Production costs increased to $184.8 million, driven mainly by higher royalties in Turkiye and Greece, inflation-linked labor and maintenance, and Lamaque mining depth.
Lower output at Kisladag and Efemcukuru weighed on results; Lamaque output rose on higher throughput and recoveries following Ormaque authorization.
