Eli Lilly said on July 16 it had agreed to buy AtaiBeckley, a developer of psychedelic treatments for depression and other mental illnesses, for up to $3.8 billion.
Lilly has announced a series of acquisitions in 2026, agreeing to buy companies developing drugs for oncology, autoimmune diseases, inflammation-linked conditions and genetic illnesses, as well as vaccines to prevent infections.
