Elixir Energy Boosts Taroom Trough Gas Resource by 24% to 3.5 TCFe

SHELSHEL

Elixir Energy certified an additional 662 BCFe of 2C gas resources in ATP2057, raising its Queensland Taroom Trough total to 3.5 TCFe. The update, including 633 BCF of gas and 5 million barrels of condensate, extends basin-centred play toward Shell’s operating area.

1. Elixir Energy Increases Resource

Elixir Energy added 662 BCFe of net 2C contingent gas resources in ATP2057, comprising 633 BCF of gas and 5 million barrels of condensate, lifting its Taroom Trough portfolio to 3.5 TCFe following independent certification by Sproule ERCE.

2. Proximity to Shell Operations

The upgraded resource sits on the western flank of the Taroom Trough, immediately south of Shell’s primary Queensland operations, highlighting potential competitive overlap in basin-centred gas exploitation.

3. Path to Commercialisation

Elixir signed an agreement with APA Group to study the most cost-effective export route to the Wallumbilla Gas Hub and plans to submit a Potential Commercial Area application under permit operator Santos for ATP2057.

4. Future Upside Potential

Fast-track processing of a 225-kilometre 2D seismic program confirmed reservoir continuity across untested areas, leaving over 50% of ATP2057 for further appraisal, while Elixir prepares to stimulate and test the Diona-1 well for additional certification.
