Enlight Secures 200 MWac 15-Year Solar PPA with Google in Oklahoma
ENLT•Enlight’s Clēnera unit inked a 200 MWac, 15-year fixed-price solar power purchase agreement with Google, powering data centers via Solstice’s 250 MWdc Oklahoma plant. The project, which cleared system impact studies and expects full interconnection approval in 2026 before 2029 commercial operations, will later add 800 MWh battery storage.
1. PPA Agreement Details
Enlight’s U.S. subsidiary Clēnera signed a 15-year, fixed-price power purchase agreement to supply 200 MWac of photovoltaic energy to Google data centers, delivered into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) market. This marks Enlight’s first U.S. commercial customer PPA and first project reaching this stage in the SPP.
2. Solstice Project Overview
The Solstice facility is a 250 MWdc solar project in LeFlore County, Oklahoma that has passed its system impact study and aims for full interconnection approval in 2026. Construction is slated to begin in 2028 with commercial operations targeted for 2029, followed by an 800 MWh battery storage expansion phase.
3. Strategic Implications
Entering the SPP market positions Enlight to capitalize on expected peak load growth of nearly 5 GW and retirements of over 5.7 GW of fossil capacity by 2029. The agreement diversifies Enlight’s U.S. customer base into large commercial loads and lays groundwork for further projects in the fast-growing data center sector.
