Enlivex Secures Australian Patent Through 2040 and Doses First Patient in Allocetra Phase 2b Knee OA Trial
ENLV•Enlivex has received Australian patent No. 2020340629, granting Allocetra™ osteoarthritis treatment protection through at least 2040 across key methods. The company also dosed its first patient at a U.S. site in the Phase 2b clinical trial targeting moderate-to-severe age-related primary knee osteoarthritis.
1. Australian Patent Issuance
Enlivex secured Australian patent No. 2020340629 titled “Therapeutic Apoptotic Cells for Treatment of Osteoarthritis,” which covers methods of using Allocetra™ to treat osteoarthritis and extends intellectual property protection in Australia through at least 2040. This addition strengthens the company’s global patent portfolio for its lead immunotherapy candidate.
2. Phase 2b Clinical Trial Progress
Enlivex recently dosed the first patient at a U.S. clinical site in its Phase 2b trial of Allocetra™ evaluating moderate-to-severe age-related symptomatic primary knee osteoarthritis. This trial follows positive three-month and six-month topline data from the Phase I/II ENX-CL-05-001 study and aims to further assess safety and efficacy endpoints.
