Entergy Louisiana starts USD 270 million Jefferson Parish grid resilience upgrade

Entergy Corporation launched a USD 270 million grid resilience investment in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana to strengthen electric infrastructure.
The project targets more than 500 utility poles along Veterans Boulevard, using structures engineered to withstand winds up to 140 mph.
Work is underway, with completion expected by October, subject to weather and site conditions.
The statewide plan projects USD 175 million in avoided future storm restoration costs over time.
The program forecasts about USD 5 billion in long-term benefits over 50 years from fewer emergency repairs and longer-lasting equipment.
