Enveric welcomes final FDA guidance on psychedelic drug trials
ENVB•EB-003 development plan
Enveric said its EB-003 is designed to drive neuroplasticity-related signaling while avoiding hallucinations, which could support conventional blinded trials.
The company said a non-hallucinogenic profile could reduce supervision needs, limit psychotherapy confounding, and support a more scalable outpatient model.
Enveric said its planned Phase 1 program for EB-003 will assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, subjective effects, and biomarkers across single and repeat dosing.
Enveric says FDA guidance clarifies trial expectations
Enveric Biosciences welcomed the FDA’s finalized guidance for clinical investigations of psychedelic and psychedelic-inspired therapeutics, calling it a clearer roadmap without lower standards.
CEO Joseph Tucker cited key hurdles flagged by the FDA, including functional unblinding, patient monitoring, abuse potential, repeat dosing, and the role of psychotherapy.
