NVRI•Cash proceeds timing
Cash proceeds, if any, from the asset transfer are expected later this year and in early 2027, and will be recorded as income when received.
Expected impairment charge and liabilities
Enviri expects a noncash impairment charge of about $75 million tied to the exits from the Deutsche Bahn and Network Rail engineered-to-order contracts.
Enviri also plans to book an incremental liability of about $133 million for future obligations related to those contracts.
Deutsche Bahn contract asset sale and contract exit
Enviri unit Harsco Rail Europe agreed to sell contract assets, including inventory and intellectual property, to Gleisbaumechanik Brandenburg for a Deutsche Bahn vehicle program.
The transaction ends Harsco Rail Europe’s engineered-to-order work for Deutsche Bahn, shifting completion of the utility track vehicles to the buyer.
