Equinix has expanded its Fabric Geo Zones solution to cover 77 metros across five continents, providing network-level data sovereignty controls to keep sensitive traffic within defined jurisdictions. The premium-tier service is now in preview in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, the UK and US, with EU availability in June.

Equinix Fabric Geo Zones is a network-level sovereignty enforcement layer built into the software-defined interconnection fabric, enabling customers to define geographic boundaries and block noncompliant data paths across interconnected cloud environments.

The solution now spans 77 metros across five continents, with preview availability in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States; European Union regions join in June.

Offered at a premium tier within Unlimited Ports and Unlimited Ports Plus packages, Fabric Geo Zones delivers native sovereignty controls at the network layer rather than as an overlay, supporting higher service price points.
