Equinor, Aker BP, Vår Energi formed a strategic exploration collaboration targeting high-impact prospects on Norway’s continental shelf.
- Plan to mature and test about 20-25 exploration opportunities over the next four to five years.
- Ambition to drill around five high-impact exploration wells per year to improve odds of standalone field developments.
- Partnership aims to share risk on complex prospects as Norwegian output is expected to decline after 2035 without new discoveries.
