Ericsson names Patrick Johansson to lead new Asia-Pacific market area
ERIC•Ericsson appointed EMEA head Patrick Johansson to lead its new Asia-Pacific market area from January 1, 2027. The unit will combine two existing regional market areas, while several leadership and reporting changes take effect on December 31, 2026.
1. Regional leadership changes
Patrick Johansson will lead Ericsson’s new Asia-Pacific market area from January 1, 2027, after serving as EMEA head. Recruitment will begin for a new EMEA head, and Chafic Nassif and Andres Vicente will hand over their responsibilities on December 31, 2026.
2. Enterprise portfolio changes
Åsa Tamsons will leave her role as head of Enterprise Wireless Solutions on December 31, 2026, following support for its portfolio integration. Wireless WAN will report to Americas head Yossi Cohen, while Neutral Host solutions and Ericsson Private 5G will move to Business Area Networks.
