ERIEERIE

Erie Indemnity’s Q4 revenue rose 2.9% to $951 million but missed estimates by $24.6 million, while GAAP EPS of $1.21 fell 23.9% short of consensus. Full-year net income declined to $559.3 million ($10.69/share) partly due to a $100 million charitable donation.

1. Q4 Revenue and EPS Performance

In Q4 2025, Erie Indemnity reported revenue of $951 million, up 2.9% year-on-year but $24.6 million below analysts’ $975.6 million estimate. GAAP EPS was $1.21 versus the $1.59 consensus, marking a 23.9% earnings miss that pressured the stock.

2. Full-Year Net Income Decline

For the full year 2025, net income fell to $559.3 million, or $10.69 per diluted share, from $600.3 million, or $11.48 per share in 2024. Lower underwriting profitability and increased operating expenses contributed to the year-over-year drop.

3. Impact of Charitable Contribution

Erie recorded a one-time $100 million contribution to its newly formed Erie Insurance Foundation, reducing after-tax net income by $80.6 million, or $1.54 per share, in both Q4 and full-year 2025 results.
