Ethiopian Airlines agrees to buy 10 Boeing cargo planes, has option for 8 more

Ethiopian Airlines signed a deal to buy eight Boeing 777-8Fs and two 777Fs, CEO Mesfin Tasew said at a ceremony in Addis Ababa. The airline has the right to purchase eight additional 777-8Fs.
2. Fleet and airport plan
Ethiopian Airlines already operates 12 Boeing 777F cargo planes, three Boeing 767 freighters and four converted 737s on medium-haul routes, within a fleet of more than 140 jets. It is helping fund a $12.5 billion plan for what officials say will be Africa’s largest airport, with the first phase due to open in 2030.
