Eton Pharmaceuticals licenses US rights to Auson’s ASN-001 for infantile hemangiomas

Eton Pharmaceuticals licensed U.S. rights to Auson’s late-stage ASN-001, a timolol topical gel for proliferating superficial infantile hemangiomas.

The deal expands Eton’s infantile hemangioma franchise beyond HEMANGEOL, targeting moderate cases now often treated off-label with ophthalmic timolol.

A Phase II/III trial of 168 patients showed 24-week elimination or near-elimination rates of 56% for BID dosing and 42% for TID dosing, versus 15% for placebo.

Eton said NDA submission is targeted for the second half of 2027 following a bioavailability bridging study, with a potential U.S. launch planned for 2028.

The company estimates 20,000 to 30,000 patients a year could be candidates, positioning ASN-001 as a potential top revenue driver.
